Why will the UNBLEMISH Regimen clear up my acne?
UNBLEMISH Regimen includes 3 steps: Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash, Clarifying Toner and Acne Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment. Using Multi-Med Therapy, UNBLEMISH Regimen delivers the right medicines, in the right formulations, in the right order to transform your skin. Each step provides a specific medicine to penetrate and unplug pores, kill bacteria, absorb excess oil, and calm inflammation. Because acne breakouts are continuously forming silently under the skin in acne-prone individuals, the multiple medicines in the UNBLEMISH Regimen must be used daily over the entire face to stop the acne process. Within days to just a few weeks (depending on the severity of your acne), blemishes will heal, marks will fade and skin will look healthy and clear.
Do I need to use all the steps in UNBLEMISH Regimen to get results?
Yes, each step of UNBLEMISH Regimen delivers a specific medicine to penetrate and unplug pores, kill bacteria, absorb excess oil, and calm inflammation. Sulfur not only unclogs pores, but is the only acne medication that also calms the skin. Benzoyl Peroxide reduces acne causing bacteria and also helps heal the skin. Each step works synergistically together to addresses the complex issue of acne. Skipping any one of these steps can minimize results.
When will I see results with UNBLEMISH Regimen?
Everyone’s skin is different and some people may take longer than others to see results. Be patient. It takes two to three weeks for those blemishes to come to the surface of your skin. You may experience more temporary breakouts as your skin accelerates the turnover of cells and they come to the surface sooner.
It usually takes four to six weeks to see results with UNBLEMISH Regimen. However, if your acne is very significant, it may take as long as eight weeks for improvement. Use the regimen, as directed on the package, during that time.
You may not see all of the great changes that your skin is making right away. The longer you use the products, the more visible the results will be. If your skin does not respond by 8 weeks or your acne is cystic and scarring, please see a dermatologist for additional treatment and more aggressive therapy.
My skin is looking clear. Now what should I do?
Acne is not curable but it is treatable, controllable and preventable. If UNBLEMISH Regimen is helping clear your skin, stay on it. There is no limit to the length of time you can use UNBLEMISH Regimen. If you discontinue UNBLEMISH Regimen, your blemishes are likely to return because the causes of are hormonal and genetic.
Can I use UNBLEMISH Regimen if I am pregnant or nursing?
We recommend reviewing the UNBLEMISH Regimen ingredient list with your doctor to determine product usage during pregnancy or while nursing. You can find a complete list of ingredients under each product description.
I am allergic to oral Sulfa drugs. Can I use the UNBLEMISH Regimen?
An allergy to oral sulfa medications like Bactrim, Septra, Trimethoprim, or Sulfamethoxazole, does not predispose one to an allergy to topical sulfur medications. If you are concerned about an allergy, you should consider trying a patch test before beginning to use your regimen. First, apply the UNBLEMISH Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash on a small area on the side of your neck. Massage for 30 seconds and then rinse it off. Repeat this daily for 2 days. If you are experiencing a combination of itching, redness and swelling, this may be a sign of an allergic reaction and you should stop using the UNBLEMISH Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash immediately. Use over-the-counter hydrocortisone 1% cream and oral Benadryl® as directed. If the reaction persists, consult your doctor. In place of the UNBLEMISH Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash, you may use our ESSENTIALS Gentle Wash with Aloe Vera followed by UNBLEMISH Clarifying Toner and then UNBLEMISH Acne Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment.
I am allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide. What should I do?
If you have a known allergy to Benzoyl Peroxide and developed redness, itching and swelling, then you should not use UNBLEMISH Acne Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment.
I’m using UNBLEMISH Regimen and my skin is dry. What should I do?
Everyone’s skin is different and we want to ensure that your Rodan + Fields experience is a pleasant and effective one. You may experience dryness from the medications in UNBLEMISH Regimen; make sure that you are using a moisturizer after UNBLEMISH Acne Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment such as ESSENTIALS Moisturize with Melaslow. Slight tightness or mild redness may indicate that your skin is probably just adjusting to the medicated ingredients in the regimen. This is a common initial side effect and means the medicines are working. This may last up to 2 weeks.
You can also reduce your frequency of use - refer to the directions on the packaging.
How can I treat my acne scars or acne marks?
The UNBLEMISH Regimen is great to control breakouts and lighten red marks. It contains over-the-counter therapeutic medicines; Sulfur 3% and Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% combined with soothing botanicals that treat and help control acne and reduce redness and irritation.
If you want to lighten brown marks that occur after acne blemishes heal, then you should also consider using the REVERSE Regimen for brown spots. The REVERSE Regimen is a complete skincare system that fades brown spots, evens skin tone and protects from abnormal pigmentation. When combining both regimens, we recommend using all four steps of REVERSE Regimen in the morning and all 3 steps of the UNBLEMISH Regimen in the evening.
However, if you are looking for a product to heal true acne scars - e.g., areas of thickening, indentations or pitting, then you need to see your dermatologist for assistance.
Can UNBLEMISH Regimen be used on my body?
Although UNBLEMISH Regimen works extremely well to diminish acne, we recommend the UNBLEMISH Body Regimen that include Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash and Body Spray.
The Body Wash removes grime and dislodges oils and perspiration while the medicated cleanser actively treats and prevents acne. Fine polyethylene beads loosen dead dry skin through gentle exfoliation while squalane and sea whip soothe and calm irritated skin.
The Body Spray not only helps clear current breakout and prevent new blemishes from forming, but also reduces the discolorations from post-acne marks. The spray is uniquely developed for the body with ingredients that are non-bleaching/non-harmful to clothing. The specially designed 360 degree spray on bottle makes application a breeze.
When can I expect to see results from UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash?
In just a few days or weeks, depending on the severity of your acne, you should see clearer pores, fewer breakouts, and less discoloration from acne marks. We suggest pairing the UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Body Spray with the Exfoliating Body Wash for more effective treatment. Once your skin is clear, continue to use the Body Wash to help prevent acne from forming.
Can I use the UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash and The Salicylic Acid Body Spray if I am pregnant or nursing?

Can the UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash be used on the face?
Yes, you may use the UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash in place of the UNBLEMISH Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash 1-3 times per week. Do not use excessive pressure.
Is it necessary to use both UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash and UNBLEMISH Salicylic Acid Body Spray together?
The UNBLEMISH Body Wash and UNBLEMISH Body Spray complement each other. Working together as a team, this pair cleanses pores, exfoliates the skin, helps reduce oil production, and even diminishes post-acne marks.
