I have been a stay at home mom for 14 years taking care of my three beautiful children. Over the past few years, I’ve thought about going into business for myself, but I never found the right fit.
My husband, who is a financial analyst, came across an ad on how the Doctors who created Proactiv were launching a direct selling business. We both instantly saw the business possibilities. I immediately jumped in the car and drove to meet the Consultant that would become my sponsor and started my business that very day.
One of the things I love about this business is the ability to work it around the needs of my family. I drop my kids off at school and pick them up every day and I work my Rodan + Fields business in between. And do I love all the new people coming into my life through this business. Along with success, we are having so much fun!
Even though I’m new to direct selling, the system helped me get off to a fast start. My focus was on developing my leadership team as quickly as possible. Now, in just six short months I have an organization of over 500 Consultants across the U.S.

Being a professional business woman working around three children, a husband and the other craziness of life, I was looking for something that would give me back more time with my family and financial freedom to retire my hard-working husband. When my friend Kris Fairless shared this opportunity with me, it didn’t take me long to decide that I too wanted to partner with two of the most reputable, talented and highly esteemed Doctors in their profession. Never in my lifetime have I been given an opportunity like this one!
Because I understand the power of direct selling, I knew my life and the life of others would soon change. I have never doubted this business concept and have never been disappointed.
Within the first several months, while working part-time hours, I saw income that supported my house payment and a little more. As my income grew, not only did I quit my part-time job, but I was able to continue to support my husband’s income while we moved from Michigan to Tennessee! My paycheck remained steady even in the chaos of moving. And better yet, I was able to take my job with me as I moved south.
I am continuing to develop my leadership team here in Tennessee and across the nation. With this exponential growth I plan to retire my husband within the next year or so. And yes, I own my own time. I completely work my business around my family.

My husband and I live in Detroit and both work in the automotive industry. He lost his job last February and I lost my job last October. As you can imagine, this financially devastated us. I not only had to find a new day job, I knew I also had to find a Plan B for secure income so that this would never happen to us again. When I heard I could partner with the Doctors who created Proactiv in their newest venture, and that I could be one of the first as the company started, I realized that this was the Plan B I was looking for. Within 60 days I was earning enough to pay for groceries and both our car payments. And within just 9 months I could also pay our house payment and I promoted to the top leadership position in the company, EC Level V.
I don’t know how we would have survived financially without my Rodan + Fields business. At the rate our team is growing now, my plan is to quit my day job in April of 2009 and to help other men and women find success in this business. It will be exciting to work from home, spend more time with my family, and have income my family can count on. And I know my team and I will do it!
